Medical Camp for Staff Members

A free Medical health check up for staff was organized on 11th August 2018 at KGCE. Camp was organized in association  Uni-Care Health  Centre . Free Physical examination along with free Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure and ECG tests were provided by Centre. Uni Care Health Centre also given some discount on remaining  other diagnosis tests in their Hospital.

Approximately 92 staff members came for the Health Check up. Doctors advised them various medicines and consulting during the camp.

Orientation Program of First Year Engineering 2018-19

Orientation Program  for first year students & their parents was arranged on 01-08-2018 by Science and Humanity department for giving idea about academic activities to the students and parents.  Programme was attained by Management, Faculty Members, Students & Parents. Prof. Deepali Keskar (HOD) introduced the first year curriculam with the CBCGS Evaluation System. Prof. V.J. Pillewan (Vice Principal - Academic) has given a piece of advice to the students. Dr. M.J. Lengare(Principal) delivered a speech and inspired the students to complete their engineering with a positive attitude. At the end Mr. Pradeepchandra Shrigarpure (CEO & Secretary) advised the parents to keep the track students while doing a course in the college and inspire them positively. Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Sonal Patil.

Tree Plantation

Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering conducted  Tree plantation Programme  on the occasion of "Vat Purnima". The Trustee Members Treasurer Mr. Zulkarnein Dabhiya Sir, CEO/Secretary Mr.Pradeepchandra Shringarpure, Principal Dr. M. J. Lengare along with Vice Principal Prof. V. J. Pillewan were present. Teaching and non teaching staff members were actively participated in the Tree Plantation Programme.

International Yoga Day 2018

Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering, KGCE celebrated second Yoga day in the College Premises on 21, 2018 with great enthusiasm and vigour.. The Yoga Day was organized by college level NSS unit as per University of Mumbai Circular No. NSS/153/2017-18 dated 12/06/2017. Mrs. Manjiri Gogate conducted a meditation session in the morning and helped staff members & students to learn the positive impacts of meditation and understand the benefits of yoga. The staff members & students performed yogic exercises and ‘pranayam’ to celebrate this day. Total 83 staff and students participated in the event.

Guest Lecture on Gender Equality

Guest Lecture on “Gender Equality’ was delivered by Ms. Deepa Pawar on 19/04/2018.The speaker explained the concept of Gender Equality. According to her the list of legislations as well as types of discriminations or inequalities may go on but the real change will only come when the mentality of men will change; when the male species of human beings would start treating women as equal and not subordinate or weaker to them. Students found the lecture really inspiring.

Talk on Procedure for NAAC

Talk on Procedure for NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation for Engineering College

Dr. Sanjay M. Kherde, Principal of Dr. Sau Kamaltai Gawai Institute of Engineering & Technology was arrived to deliver a valuable information for NAAC Process for Accrediting an Engineering College. Initially he was felicitated and introduced to the audience, then he was invited to talk on the procedure for NAAC Accreditation.He himself had gone through the NAAC Process so he elaborated the process with the reference of his own experiences while accreditation by NAAC.
